A few Top Picks are below:

Portsalon Caves Kayak Tour

The Portsalon Caves Tour is our most popular family kayak tours. A 2hour Kayak that covers approximately 6km. Taking in the most breath-taking scenery and coastal features  along Lough Swilly. Offering numerous caves that can be accessed on calm seas with cliffs where wild sea birds’ nest and Wild Mink is often spotted in summer. Sea stacks and sea arches add to the journey as you navigate the narrow channel of rock.

Hidden from the view of the passing cars on the road above is a secret beach with its own sea arch and beach cave. This Kayak tour offers a whole new perspective on the beauty of Donegal waiting to be discovered.

Located on the Fanad Peninsula and the Wild Atlantic Way, these hidden gems are only accessible by kayak. While kayaking you will also enjoy the spectacular views of Inishowen, Irelands most northerly peninsula on the other side of Lough Swilly. This is one of many unique experiences with Eco Atlantic Adventures.

The 15 Meter horizon fishing vessel ran aground at 3:30am on March 5th 2008 near Saldana Point, the sea conditions and giant cliffs made it almost impossible to rescue the crew from the stricken craft by life boat. However, with the work of Sligo based Irish Coast Guard Helicopter, all 7 crew were winched to the safety of the helicopter in the darkness of night, while hovering close to the 60 feet high cliffs for 50min. The kayak tour has a very unique view of Lough Swilly and the many mirror like image caves and inlets. Returning along Knockalla beach, stretching 5KM from Portsalon Pier. €45pp
