Rathmullan beach which bore witness to one of the most significant events in Irish history in 1607 – the Flight of the Earls – is just 10 minutes’ drive from the hotel. Located on the western shores of Lough Swilly looking across its waters towards the hills of Inishowen. It has a 3km long sandy beach which is very popular with walkers throughout the year. Whether you're looking for beautiful seaside views, a day out with the kids or a romantic evening walk on the beach with your other half, Rathmullan is the perfect choice. Downings Beach is located in the village of Downings in the Gaeltacht area on the Rosguill Peninsula of County Donegal.
